No. Pixel Film Studios plugins are not accessible in Apple Motion for editing or modification.
Per the License Agreement, all products are protected intellectual property, and users are not permitted to modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from them.
This includes opening templates in Motion to alter their structure or save custom presets.
Motion crashes when attempting to open a PFS plugin
This behavior is intentional.
Pixel Film Studios plugins are designed to prevent being opened or edited in Motion as part of built-in content protection measures. When attempting to open a template directly in Motion, the application may fail to open the file or display an error indicating that it cannot be accessed.
This is expected and does not indicate a faulty installation.
Motion won’t launch while PFS plugins are installed
In some cases, Motion may fail to launch or take an unusually long time to open if certain plugins are installed.
This typically happens because Motion scans all installed templates at startup. Plugins with large or complex data structures can increase load time or cause startup issues.
How to resolve this
