My installation is very slow. Can I speed it up?
Aside from having only the PFS App open and all other applications closed, there is no way to speed up the installation process, however, if you continue to have any problems with the installation, please contact our customer support.
If the installer is moving slowly, it may be because of the following:
- The plugin contains a lot of fonts that have to be downloaded during the installation.
- The plugin has a large file size and has many templates that need to validate.
- You have a slower download speed on your internet connection.
- Your internal hard drive doesn’t have enough space.
My PFS App is freezing during the installation process. What is happening?
Double check that the installation isn't just finalizing. Most installations are relatively quick, however, if it has been stuck on one product for more than 15 minutes please check the steps below.
1. Check the product page for the File Size:
If the file size is large, the product may need more time to install. In this case, we recommend just to wait. An installer should not take any more than 30 minutes in an extreme case. In most cases, it can take anywhere between 1-15 minutes to install a plugin depending on it’s size and your internet speed.
2. Reset your internet router
Your connection may be downloading the plugin very slowly from our server. Restart your router or connect to it directly from an ethernet cable. Then restart the installer.
3. Restart the Mac
You may be experiencing an issue with the Finder.
Restart the Mac and launch the PFS App to install your plugin(s).
