Why is my installation slow or freezing in the PFS Installer?
If your installation is taking longer than expected or appears to be frozen, there are a few common reasons and steps you can take to resolve the issue.
Slow Installation
Some installations may take longer depending on the product and your system. This is normal in many cases.
Common reasons for slow installation:
- The plugin includes a large number of fonts that must be downloaded
- The product has a large file size or many templates to validate
- Your internet connection speed is slow or unstable
- Your internal hard drive is low on available space
Can installation be sped up?
There is no way to manually speed up the installation process. For best performance:
- Keep only the PFS Installer open
- Close other running applications
Installer Appears Frozen
If the installer seems stuck, first confirm whether it is still processing in the background.
- Most plugins install within 1–15 minutes
- Larger plugins may take up to 30 minutes in rare cases
If the installer has been stuck on the same product for more than 15 minutes, try the following steps:
1. Check the product file size
Larger products naturally take longer to install.
- If the file size is large, allow additional time for the installation to complete
2. Restart your internet connection
A slow or unstable connection can delay downloads from our servers.
- Restart your router
- If possible, connect via Ethernet for a more stable connection
- Relaunch the PFS Installer and try again
3. Restart your Mac
System or Finder-related issues can interrupt installation.
- Restart your Mac
- Open the PFS Installer and attempt the installation again
